Sakura Parade

‘Sakura Parade’ was created as a companion piece to ‘Dance of the Jacarandas’ and is the second in a series about spring celebration. I travelled to Japan earlier in 2016 with the intention of photographing the cherry blossoms in full bloom. This is a far from peaceful experience since the rarity of the flower brings everyone outdoors so I wanted Sakura Parade to portray a more meditative and solitary experience under the wondrous trees.
